You'll benefit from a more international world view, rather than one that specifically targets American viewers. That's not mentioning the fact that you'll hear the news from a British accent, something that's certainly always a plus. Finally, at some point you may just want to turn the TV off. Keeping up with the 24-hour news cycle can be more trouble than it's worth. Hit power off, and head outside to play sports, or perhaps pick up a book. Watching television certainly has its place and time, but one can find him or her self going batty if you keep up with the news all day and all night.
